Welcome to Exhale Physical Therapy!

We’re glad you’re here!
About the Practice

Exhale Physical Therapy is for anyone who wants care that goes beyond the surface. Whether something has been overlooked along the way, or you're simply looking for a more thorough, whole-body approach from the start, you're in the right place.

The pelvic floor connects to everything. A shoulder issue, a foot problem, chronic low back pain, these can all trace back to what's happening at the center of the body. Once you start seeing those connections, you can't unsee them. That's exactly how care at Exhale is approached.

No two bodies are the same, and there's no one-size-fits-all protocol here. What works for one person may do nothing for another. So rather than following a script, the focus is on finding what actually works for your body, your history, and your goals.

Dr. Laina Flores

PT, DPT, FAAOMPT

I graduated from UT Health San Antonio in 2013 with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT) in 2017. I also hold certification as a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist.

After a decade in outpatient orthopedics, adding pelvic health felt like a natural next step, the missing piece that finally let me see the whole picture.

That's what I bring to every session: a decade of orthopedic training, advanced pelvic health education, and a genuine obsession with figuring out what's actually going on in your body. Not just treating the symptom, but finding the cause behind it.

I see women at every point in their journey, including those who have tried other things, hit a wall, and started to wonder if anything will ever help. You haven't run out of options. Bodies are remarkably good at adapting and improving when you give them the right input.

I’ve always been passionate about movement and an active lifestyle. That passion drives my work: getting you safely back to the activities that fulfill you, whether that means heavy lifting, running, hiking, or playing with your kids.  Rest and recovery is important, and so is getting back to your life.

Let's figure out what works for you.

Outside of work, you'll find me at the gym, outside with my husband, our daughter, and our dog Wynn, or at home reading and learning something new. I grew up in Michigan and moved to San Antonio for college.  I worked as a personal trainer and met my husband while we were both working at the same gym. PT school, a daughter, and a pull toward the mountains later, here we are.
